1. People CANNOT line up. They just seem incapable of it. My friend Paula was at the post office once. They make you take a number so that people keep their places. An old lady went up to the counter after waiting for awhile and said something along the lines of, "I can't keep waiting in this line, I'm Spanish"
2. People walk in blob formation. People will walk and take up the whole sidewalk and then stop suddenly, not noticing that no one can pass.
3. Aggressive PDA everywhere. Many people live with their parents until they are married or about 30 years old. So it is impossible to go to any park, plaza, metro stop... without seeing people mauling each other. My favorite was when I was walking in the center of town, and all of a sudden I almost fall over. It is because I had walked smack into two people making out, but I hadn't seen them. Of course they don't even stop kissing, or seem to notice I have run into them.
4. CIGARETTES-it's much better now since they passed a law in January that forbids smoking inside. But people still smoke a lot.
5. People do not clean up after their dogs. The city is extremely clean. People clean the streets every night and even mop their storefronts. The clean up crew even scrapes gum off of the seats at the metro stops. But people do not pick up dog poop. I've become an expert at avoiding it, and anything is better than my time in Cordoba where there was also poop from lots of horses.
6. Creepy old men, enough said.
